IGNITE

“I’m baptizing you here in the river, turning your old life in for a kingdom life. The real action comes next: The main character in this drama—compared to him I’m a mere stagehand—will ignite the kingdom life within you, a fire within you, the Holy Spirit within you, changing you from the inside out. He’s going to clean house—make a clean sweep of your lives. He’ll place everything true in its proper place before God; everything false he’ll put out with the trash to be burned.” Matthew 3:11-12 (MSG)

Imagine standing on the banks of the Jordan River as John the Baptist tells you about a new kingdom life. Work is hard. Challenges are real. And here is a guy telling you of another way. A better way. A kingdom way. You want to ignite that kingdom life. Ignite a passion to put everything true in its proper place before God. You want your life and work to matter.

Friends, the challenge John offered that day rings true today. Jesus showed the power of living a kingdom life. And that provides answers in life and business. You can glorify God in your business. He wants to see your business flourish. Ignite the passion within you. Accelerate your business by joining with other business leaders at, IGNITE – The Business Acceleration Conference, on April 20, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

You’ve heard Christian Business Fellowship (CBF) leadership speak to the importance of this conference. Believe it! Whether you are just getting started and need help navigating the “Art of the Startup” or you want to learn “How to Build a $100 Million Company”, this conference is for you. What business doesn’t need insight into marketing, sales, employment practices, delegation, legal, tax, and financial issues?

Monthly CBF meetings are powerful, but this deep dive will energize you in a whole new way. Honestly, do you want to be like the Pharisees who thought they knew it all and stood on the shores looking at John? Or do you want to get wet? Jump in the water. This might be drinking from a fire-hose, but man it will be good water.

Over the years I’ve been blessed to counsel many businesses as an attorney. I taught young entrepreneurs in college Business Law classes for more than a decade. In both, I noticed a common theme – a failure to plan and reach out to others. Jesus said, “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’” Luke. 14:28-30

In just such a way, we must seek the counsel of others to lay a strong foundation and build our business. Too many business leaders try to do business alone. God’s kingdom is NOT a kingdom of one. And His desire in business is that you reflect His kingdom purposes in all that you do.   So whether you need to hang out with some like-minded business leaders to wrestle with sales, marketing, legal, financial, conflict, delegation, referrals, revenue generation, or one of the other sessions, don’t miss out. In fact, bring a friend.

Ignite the passion within you for the work God has called you to. Whether you believe that or not, He has a good purpose for you and your business. Come discover your mission and gain practical tools for how to live it out. Share this opportunity with others. If you haven’t registered – register now. I can’t wait to see the impact on your business from IGNITE – The Business Acceleration Conference.
